About The Position

Indera is seeking a part-time Direct Support Professional to provide one-to-one support to a 16-year-old female in the Oneida, New York area. The role involves helping her participate in community activities, identify safety issues, and develop positive communication skills. She enjoys meeting new people, taking part in fun and interactive activities, and getting out into the community. Possible activities include bowling, sports, and other physical activities. The ideal candidate is creative, engaging, active, and patient, and is willing to travel to different community locations. They will help the individual explore new activities and interests and feel more comfortable while out in the community. Services cannot begin before 3 p.m. because of school. The schedule requires open availability. Additional hours may be available supporting other people who receive services from the agency. Starting pay is $19.25 per hour and increases with years of relevant experience.

Requirements

Must have a valid driver's license.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Effective communication and organizational skills.
Flexibility with assignments and schedule.
Reliable transportation to arrive at the job site at the scheduled time.
Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by Indera's technology policy.
