About The Position

A 33-year-old male in the Syracuse area is seeking a part-time Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist with daily organization, planning, and researching community activities. The individual is described as caring and friendly, with interests in using his phone and computer, visiting local libraries, and going to the movies. The ideal candidate will be open to exploring the community with him. Additional hours may be available with other individuals receiving services through the agency. This is a part-time role with specific hours on Wednesdays and Fridays from 1-6 PM.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to work independently in the person’s home and/or community.
Reliable with effective communication and organizational skills.
New York State Driver's license.
Reliable transportation.
Proof of auto insurance.
Acceptable driving record.
Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community.
Effective communication and organizational skills required.
Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with people with disabilities preferred.
Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities
