About The Position

1:1 Part-Time Support Staff Needed – Syracuse, NY (EE -DB) A 19-year-old male is looking for a DSP in the Syracuse area to support him doing activities out in the community. He enjoys horses, eating, watching concerts, playing and watching sport events, and playing baseball as this is his favorite hobby. The ideal candidate is a happy young man, and is willing to explore new things in the community. This is a part-time position, but additional hours are available with other people receiving services at the agency. Hours and days of work: Monday Through Friday 4pm-6pm Saturday and Sunday 9-5pm Starting pay: - Starting pay is $19.25/hour and increases with years of relevant experience. Location: Syracuse, NY

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work independently in the person’s home and/or community.
• Reliable with effective communication and organizational skills.
• New York State Driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance is required; acceptable driving record required.
• Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community.
• Effective communication and organizational skills required.
• Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
• Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
• Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy.

Nice To Haves

• No experience required but experience working with people with disabilities preferred.
• Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
