About The Position

1:1 Part-Time Support Staff Needed – Syracuse (EE -WS) A 48-year-old male is looking for a Direct Support Professional to assist him with independent living skills such as cleaning and organizing, accessing his community and volunteering through Meals on Wheels. He enjoys the simple things in life, such as meal prepping, grocery shopping and eating good food. He likes to go for walks and ride his bike; he also enjoys going to the gym, and swimming. The ideal candidate should be creative and engaging, active, patient, and willing to travel to different locations. The ideal candidate is also friendly and outgoing, and willing to explore new things in the community. This is a part-time position, but additional hours are available with other people receiving services at the agency.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old
Ability to work independently in the person’s home and/or community
Reliable with effective communication and organizational skills
New York State Driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance is required; acceptable driving record required
Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community
Effective communication and organizational skills required
Flexibility with assignments and schedule required
Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time
Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy

Nice To Haves

No experience required but experience working with people with disabilities preferred
Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred
