About The Position

A 19-year-old male in the Syracuse area is looking for a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist him with community activities. He enjoys activities such as visiting horse farms, dining out, attending concerts, participating in and watching sports, and playing baseball, which is his favorite hobby. The ideal candidate should be a happy individual, open to exploring new experiences within the community. This is a part-time role, with potential for additional hours supporting other individuals receiving services at the agency.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work independently in the person’s home and/or community.
• Reliable with effective communication and organizational skills.
• New York State Driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance is required.
• Acceptable driving record required.
• Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community.
• Effective communication and organizational skills required.
• Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
• Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
• Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with people with disabilities preferred.
