About The Position
Seeking a Direct Support Professional for a young man with a developmental disability in the Brewerton, NY area. This role involves providing 1:1 support to teach safety skills, social skills, independent living skills, and community access. The ideal candidate will be engaging, creative, compassionate, and reliable, with effective communication skills. Experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate. The candidate must also be comfortable with cats.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Effective communication and organizational skills required.
- Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
- Reliable transportation to arrive at the job site at the scheduled time.
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
- Experience is preferred, but not necessary for the right candidate.
