About The Position

Dungarvin is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver to provide person-centered support to people with mental, intellectual and developmental, and physical disabilities. The role focuses on empowering individuals to live as independently and comfortably as possible while maintaining their dignity and respect. The position offers multiple shifts and pays $15.75 per hour, with a $1,500 sign-on bonus.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license required because the role may involve transporting individuals served.
• Must be comfortable driving to transport individuals served as required.
• Some positions or locations may require a personal vehicle and auto liability insurance.
• Person-centered, patient, and kind.
• Dependable, adaptable, and flexible.
• Observant and detail-oriented.
• Able to serve as a positive role model and work on a team.
• Committed to creating a respectful and collaborative environment.
• Computer skills for documentation.
• Reading, writing, and communication skills sufficient to document care, follow support plans, and collaborate with team members.
• Successful background clearance required as part of onboarding/employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support, positive direction, instruction, and assistance to individuals served.
• Offer hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
• Support individuals’ comfort, safety, and personal growth.
• Assist with daily living activities, including mobility, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Perform housekeeping and laundry duties.
• Transport individuals served as required.
• Document care, follow support plans, and collaborate with internal and external team members.
