Day Supports - Direct Support Professional (DSP) Full-Time
About The Position
We are currently seeking a team member to fill our Full-Time Direct Support Professional position in our Day Support Program. This role involves assisting people with disabilities to become more independent in their daily living activities. The position requires a motivated, dependable, and self-directed individual with a positive attitude who is comfortable assisting with personal care needs and potential behavioral situations (training will be provided). The role also includes attending staff meetings and effectively communicating with team members. A key aspect of the role is enjoying participation in community activities.
Requirements
- Be able to drive (18 years old & have a valid driver's license)
- Motivated to teach
- Be dependable
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Comfortable assisting with personal care needs
- Possible behaviors (therapeutic intervention training provided)
- Have a positive attitude and be self-directed
