About The Position
We are currently seeking a team member to fill our Full-Time Direct Support Professional position in our Day Hab. Program/1348. This role involves assisting people with disabilities to be independent in their activities of daily living and involving them in the life of the community. The position requires the ability to stand for long periods and effectively communicate with team members. Applicants should be comfortable assisting with personal care needs and potential behaviors, with therapeutic intervention training provided.
Requirements
- Be able to drive (18 years old & valid driver's license) in Wahpeton and surrounding communities
- Have a positive attitude and be self-directed
- Be dependable
- Be able to stand for long periods of time
- Effectively communicate with team members
Responsibilities
- Assist people with disabilities to be independent in their activities of daily living
- Involve PWS in the life of the community
- Assist with personal care needs
- Assist with possible behaviors (therapeutic intervention training provided)
