About The Position
We are currently seeking a team member to fill our Full-Time Direct Support Professional position in our Day Hab. Program/1348. This role involves assisting people with disabilities to be independent in their activities of daily living and involving them in the community. The position requires a positive attitude, self-direction, and dependability. Applicants should be comfortable assisting with personal care needs and potential challenging behaviors, with therapeutic intervention training provided.
Requirements
- Be able to drive (18 years old & valid driver's license) in Wahpeton and surrounding communities
- Have a positive attitude and be self-directed
- Be dependable
- Be able to stand for long periods of time
- Effectively communicate with team members
Responsibilities
- Involve PWS in the life of the community
- Assist people with disabilities to be independent in their activities of daily living
- Assist with personal care needs
- Assist with possible behaviors (therapeutic intervention training provided)
