Direct Care Worker - In Home Care
About The Position
Soreo, a service of Mosaic, is seeking dedicated and compassionate Independent Contracted Direct Care Workers to support older adults and people of all ages with physical and/or intellectual disabilities. This 1099 contract opportunity is intended for mission-driven people who value autonomy and professional flexibility. Contractors coordinate visits around their availability and the needs of the people they serve; there is no cap on hours. Compensation varies by location. Soreo provides a supportive framework for building an independent schedule. The role helps people lead fulfilling, independent lives in their own homes and supports them in learning, growing, and discovering.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must meet all Arizona state provider requirements, including a comprehensive background check and Class 1 Fingerprint Clearance.
- Must be able to complete all state-mandated training courses.
- Demonstrate excellent time management, punctuality, and dependability.
- Communicate clearly and provide timely updates about the needs of people supported; ask questions to ensure appropriate support.
- Treat each person with respect and foster an inclusive environment where everyone feels seen and valued.
- Bring a positive, proactive attitude and take initiative to complete work correctly and with care.
Responsibilities
- Support people in defining their own goals and guide them toward milestones that improve their daily quality of life.
- Provide emotional companionship and help with household tasks, including meal preparation, grooming, laundry, and light housekeeping.
- Monitor the medical, nutritional, and personal care needs of the people served to help ensure their well-being.
