About The Position

Soreo, a service of Mosaic, is seeking dedicated and compassionate Independent Contracted Direct Care Workers to support older adults and people of all ages with physical and/or intellectual disabilities. This 1099 contract opportunity is intended for people who value autonomy and professional flexibility. Contractors coordinate visits according to their availability and the needs of the people they serve; there is no cap on hours. Soreo provides a supportive framework to help contractors build an independent schedule. Compensation is based on location.

The role helps people live fulfilling, independent lives in their own homes by supporting their goals, daily living needs, and well-being.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Meet all Arizona state provider requirements, including a comprehensive background check and Class 1 Fingerprint Clearance.
• Be able to complete all state-mandated training courses.
• Demonstrate excellent time management, punctuality, and dependability.
• Communicate clearly and provide timely updates; stay in close contact about the needs of people supported and ask questions as needed.
• Treat every person with respect and foster an inclusive environment where everyone feels seen and valued.
• Bring a positive, proactive attitude and take initiative to ensure work is completed correctly and with care.

Responsibilities

• Support people in defining their own goals and provide guidance to help them reach milestones that improve daily quality of life.
• Provide emotional companionship and assist with meal preparation, grooming, laundry, and light housekeeping.
• Monitor the medical, nutritional, and personal care needs of the people served.
