About The Position

Soreo, a service of Mosaic, is seeking dedicated and compassionate independent contracted Direct Care Workers to support older adults and people of all ages with physical and/or intellectual disabilities. This is a 1099 contract opportunity for people who value autonomy and professional flexibility. Contractors coordinate visits according to their availability and the needs of the people they serve, with no cap on hours. Soreo provides a framework and support to help contractors build an independent schedule. Compensation is based on location.

The role helps people lead fulfilling, independent lives in their own homes by supporting their goals, daily living needs, safety, and well-being.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must meet all Arizona state provider requirements, including a comprehensive background check and Class 1 Fingerprint Clearance.
• Must be able to complete all state-mandated training courses.
• Demonstrate reliability, excellent time management, punctuality, and dependability.
• Communicate clearly, provide timely updates, stay in close contact about the needs of people supported, and ask questions when needed.
• Show a commitment to inclusion and treat each person with respect.
• Bring a positive, can-do attitude and initiative to the person's home, and be willing to go the extra mile to complete the work correctly and with care.

Responsibilities

• Support people in defining their own goals and provide guidance to help them reach milestones that improve their daily quality of life.
• Provide emotional companionship and assist with meal preparation, grooming, laundry, and light housekeeping.
• Monitor the medical, nutritional, and personal care needs of the people served.
• Coordinate visits based on availability and the needs of the people served.
