About The Position

Soreo, a service of Mosaic, is seeking dedicated and compassionate independent contracted Direct Care Workers to support older adults and people of all ages with physical and/or intellectual disabilities in their homes. This 1099 contract opportunity is intended for mission-driven people who value autonomy and professional flexibility. Contractors coordinate visits according to their availability and the needs of the people they serve, with no cap on hours. Compensation is based on location. Soreo provides a supportive framework for building an independent schedule.

The role helps people pursue their goals and lead fulfilling, independent lives in the comfort of their own homes. It includes companionship, assistance with household and personal-care tasks, and monitoring medical, nutritional, and personal-care needs.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must meet all Arizona state provider requirements, including a comprehensive background check and Class 1 Fingerprint Clearance.
• Ability to complete all state-mandated training courses.
• Excellent time-management skills and reliability, including punctuality and dependability.
• Clear and timely communication, including willingness to ask questions to ensure appropriate support.
• Commitment to treating every person with respect and fostering an inclusive environment.
• Positive, proactive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile to complete work correctly and with care.

Responsibilities

• Support people in defining their own goals and provide guidance to help them achieve milestones that improve daily quality of life.
• Provide emotional companionship.
• Assist with meal preparation, grooming, laundry, and light housekeeping.
• Monitor the medical, nutritional, and personal-care needs of the people served.
• Provide clear, timely updates and maintain close contact regarding the needs of the people supported.
