About The Position

Soreo, a service of Mosaic, is seeking dedicated and compassionate independent contracted Direct Care Workers to support older adults and people of all ages with physical and/or intellectual disabilities. This 1099 contract opportunity offers autonomy and professional flexibility. Contractors coordinate visits around their availability and the needs of the people they serve; there is no cap on hours. Compensation is based on location.

The role focuses on helping people learn, grow, and discover while supporting them to lead fulfilling, independent lives in their own homes. Soreo provides a framework and support to help contractors build an independent schedule.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must meet all Arizona state provider requirements, including a comprehensive background check and Class 1 Fingerprint Clearance.
• Must be able to complete all state-mandated training courses.
• Demonstrate excellent time management, punctuality, and dependability.
• Provide clear, timely updates and maintain close communication about the needs of people supported; confidently ask questions to ensure appropriate support.
• Treat every person with respect and foster an inclusive environment where everyone feels seen and valued.
• Bring a positive, can-do attitude and take initiative to complete work correctly and with care.

Responsibilities

• Support people in defining their own goals and provide guidance to help them reach milestones that improve their daily quality of life.
• Provide emotional companionship and assist with essential household tasks, including meal preparation, grooming, laundry, and light housekeeping.
• Monitor the medical, nutritional, and personal care needs of the people served to help ensure their well-being.
