About The Position

Soreo, a service of Mosaic, is seeking dedicated and compassionate Independent Contracted Direct Care Workers to support older adults and people of all ages with physical and/or intellectual disabilities. This 1099 contract opportunity is for mission-driven people who value autonomy and professional flexibility. Contractors coordinate visits according to their availability and the needs of the people they serve, with no cap on hours. Compensation is based on location.

Soreo provides a framework and support to help contractors build an independent schedule. Direct Care Workers help people live fulfilling, independent lives in their own homes by supporting their goals, providing companionship and household assistance, and monitoring their well-being.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must meet all Arizona state provider requirements, including a comprehensive background check and Class 1 Fingerprint Clearance.
• Must be able to complete all state-mandated training courses.
• Demonstrate excellent time management, punctuality, and dependability.
• Communicate clearly and provide timely updates; ask questions to ensure appropriate support.
• Show a commitment to inclusion and respect for every person.
• Bring a positive, can-do attitude and willingness to go the extra mile.

Responsibilities

• Support people in defining personal goals and provide guidance to help them reach milestones that improve daily quality of life.
• Provide emotional companionship and assist with meal preparation, grooming, laundry, and light housekeeping.
• Monitor the medical, nutritional, and personal care needs of the people served to support their well-being.
• Coordinate visits based on personal availability and the needs of the people served.
• Provide clear, timely updates and stay in close contact about the needs of the people supported.
• Treat each person with respect and foster an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued.
• Take initiative and provide careful, dependable support in the person's home.
