About The Position
NeuLife Rehabilitation of Michigan is seeking a Direct Care Worker to provide compassionate, person-centered support to people with acquired brain injuries. The role helps clients build independence, develop daily living skills, and work toward personal goals in their homes and communities. The position is team-based and described as a supportive, best-practice environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record.
- CPR certification or willingness to obtain it.
Responsibilities
- Motivate and encourage clients with acquired brain injuries to progress at home and in the community.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living.
- Prepare clients for their day and help them get to and from work, therapy, and other appointments.
- Perform range-of-motion exercises.
- Perform household services essential to home health care.
- Attend concerts, sporting events, and other entertainment activities with clients.
