About The Position

Lifesteps is hiring compassionate Direct Care Aides to support adults with disabilities in a residential home setting in Butler, Pennsylvania. Aides help individuals with activities of daily living and home care, including dressing, meal preparation, bathing, and transportation to doctor appointments. No experience is necessary; paid training is provided. Experienced home health aides, nurse’s aides, support assistants, and direct support professionals are welcome.

Full-time shifts are available from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Part-time hours are also available with flexible scheduling.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to lift up to 200 pounds with assistance.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Ability to obtain ACT 33/34 and FBI clearances.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a home health aide, nurse’s aide, support assistant, or direct support professional.

Responsibilities

• Cook and serve meals.
• Clean the house.
• Shop for groceries and supplies.
• Assist with personal care, including grooming and bathing.
• Administer medication.
• Assist individuals with attaining personal goals.
• Support community outings and fun activities.
• Help individuals with daily activities such as dressing, meal preparation, bathing, and transportation to doctor appointments.
