About The Position

Stellar Senior Living is seeking a Dining Room Supervisor to lead the dining team at Villa de San Antonio, a large senior living community in San Antonio, Texas. The supervisor oversees hiring and training servers, ensures adequate staffing coverage for scheduled shifts, and coordinates service from the kitchen, including food deliveries and To Gos. The role ensures residents receive their food and beverage preferences, maintains professional and positive interactions, and keeps the dining room clean according to health department standards.

Requirements

• Valid Food Handlers Permit.
• Ability to work in a team environment and work various shifts.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English to receive food or drink orders and give responses, and to read and write English sufficiently to fulfill job requirements.
• Enjoy working with the elderly and be able to accept constructive criticism.
• Proven ability to understand and demonstrate responsible behavior.

Responsibilities

• Hire and train servers.
• Ensure adequate coverage for all scheduled shifts.
• Manage the flow of service from the kitchen, food deliveries, and To Gos.
• Ensure residents receive their food and beverage preferences.
• Host the front of the house and seat residents according to the floor plan.
• Take residents’ meal orders and serve them efficiently using exceptional customer service.
• Complete tasks to ensure the dining room and kitchen are stocked and prepared to serve residents.
• Assist with setting up and cleaning the kitchen and dining room before and after each meal.
• Deliver room service in a timely manner.
• Perform kitchen helper and dishwasher duties as needed.
• Clearly communicate assignments, including side work, cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, and completing morning setup before the end of night shifts.
• Maintain the dining room in accordance with health department cleanliness standards.
