About The Position

Freedom Village Bradenton is seeking a Dining Room Supervisor for its Independent Living community. The supervisor leads a team of 8–10 servers and works hands-on alongside them to create exceptional dining experiences for residents and guests. The role involves supporting dining service, helping the dining room operate smoothly, and delivering warm, professional hospitality.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of supervisory or lead server experience in a fine restaurant, country club, hotel, retirement community, or similar setting.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain menus, answer questions, and handle requests.
Ability to empathize and work effectively with residents, families, staff, and leadership.
State-required health/alcohol compliance card.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

Work with the Dining Room Manager to organize reservations, private parties, and special events.
Meet with the culinary team to stay informed about menu changes.
Assist with desserts and light food preparation.
Assign server stations and keep the team on track.
Keep the dining room clean before and after service.
Greet and seat residents and guests efficiently and warmly.
Support servers during service as needed.
Assist residents with reservations, takeout orders, and questions.
Use the touchscreen Point of Sale system for meal counts, reservations, and charges.
Ensure all side work is completed before servers clock out.
