About The Position

Freedom Village Bradenton is seeking a hands-on Dining Room Supervisor for its Independent Living community. The supervisor leads a team of 8–10 servers and helps create exceptional, resident-centered dining experiences by working alongside the team and ensuring meals are delivered with warmth, professionalism, and hospitality. The role works with the Dining Room Manager and culinary team to coordinate dining operations, support service, and keep the dining room clean and organized. The shift is 11:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The starting pay is $19.00 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of supervisory or lead server experience in a fine restaurant, country club, hotel, retirement community, or similar setting.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain menus, answer questions, and handle requests.
Ability to empathize and build relationships with residents, families, staff, and leadership.
State-required health/alcohol compliance card.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Ability to stand and walk for 90% of the workday; frequently stoop, bend, and stretch; and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to see, hear, and speak.

Responsibilities

Coordinate reservations, private parties, and special events with the Dining Room Manager.
Communicate with the culinary team about menu changes.
Assist with desserts and light food preparation.
Assign server stations and keep the team on track.
Clean and maintain the dining room before and after service.
Greet and seat residents and guests efficiently and warmly.
Support servers during service as needed.
Assist residents with reservations, takeout orders, and questions.
Use the touchscreen Point of Sale system for meal counts, reservations, and charges.
Ensure servers complete all side work before clocking out.
Lead a team of 8–10 servers.
