About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Dining Room Manager to ensure the dining room looks perfect and the service residents receive is impeccable. This role involves being a welcoming host, preparing for service, maintaining tidiness, and observing resident dining habits. The ideal candidate will have a positive and energetic attitude, be at least eighteen years of age, and possess the physical capability to perform the job duties.

Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Knowledge of the requirements for providing care and supervision appropriate to the residents.
  • Must have and maintain a food server permit as required by the county.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency.
  • Must have a positive and energetic attitude.
  • Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
  • Must have the ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting people after a fall.
  • Must be criminally cleared.
  • Be in good health and physically and mentally capable of performing assigned tasks.
  • Good physical health shall be verified by a health screening performed by a physician not more than six (6) months prior to or seven (7) days following employment.
  • Must test free from pulmonary tuberculosis at time of health screening.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience leading a hospitality team preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the dining room looks and stays perfect.
  • Providing impeccable service to residents.
  • Greeting residents and making them feel welcome.
  • Being present in the dining room, mingling, and entertaining.
  • Fostering an environment where residents can connect.
  • Preparing tables for service, salads, and rolling silverware.
  • Bussing tables and sweeping floors.
  • Communicating with supervisors and Wellness about poor dietary habits, changes in appetite, or resident absences from meals.
