About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Dining Room Manager to join our team at Vitalia Solon. This full-time position offers a competitive wage and a supportive work environment. The Dining Room Manager is responsible for ensuring the dining room is immaculate and that residents receive impeccable service. This role involves greeting residents, fostering connections, preparing for service, maintaining cleanliness, and observing residents' dietary habits and appetite changes. Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Knowledge of the requirements for providing care and supervision appropriate to the residents.
  • Must have and maintain a food server permit as required by the county.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency.
  • Must have a positive and energetic attitude.
  • Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
  • Must have the ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting people after a fall.
  • Must be criminally cleared.
  • Be in good health and physically and mentally capable of performing assigned tasks.
  • Health screening performed by a physician not more than six (6) months prior to or seven (7) days following employment.
  • Must test free from pulmonary tuberculosis at time of health screening.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience leading a hospitality team preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the dining room looks and stays perfect.
  • Providing impeccable service to residents.
  • Greeting residents and making them feel welcome.
  • Being present in the dining room, mingling, and entertaining.
  • Fostering an environment where residents can connect.
  • Preparing tables for service, salads, and rolling silverware.
  • Bussing tables and sweeping floors.
  • Communicating with supervisors and Wellness regarding poor dietary habits, changes in appetite, or resident absences from meals.
