About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Dining Room Manager to ensure the dining room is impeccable and the service residents receive is outstanding. This role involves greeting residents, fostering a welcoming environment, preparing tables and food items, bussing tables, sweeping floors, and communicating with supervisors about residents' dietary habits or changes in appetite. The position is full-time and located at Vitalia Rockside in Seven Hills, OH.

Requirements

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Knowledge of the requirements for providing care and supervision appropriate to the residents.
• Must have and maintain a food server permit as required by the county.
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency.
• Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
• Must have the ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting people after a fall.
• Must be criminally cleared.
• Be in good health and physically and mentally capable of performing assigned tasks.
• Good physical health shall be verified by a health screening performed by a physician not more than six (6) months prior to or seven (7) days following employment.
• Must test free from pulmonary tuberculosis at time of health screening.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the dining room looks and stays perfect.
• Providing impeccable service to residents.
• Greeting residents and making them feel welcome.
• Being present in the dining room, mingling, and entertaining.
• Fostering an environment where residents can connect.
• Prepping tables for service, salads for the next meal, or rolling silverware.
• Bussing tables and sweeping floors.
• Communicating with supervisors and Wellness about poor dietary habits or unusual changes in appetite, and when residents are absent from meals.
