About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Dining Room Manager to join our team at Madison located at 14001 Madison Avenue, Kansas City, MO 64145. This is a full-time position with a pay range of $20 - $23.25 per hour. The Dining Room Manager is responsible for ensuring the dining room is presentable and that residents receive impeccable service. This role involves being a welcoming host, preparing for service, maintaining tidiness, and observing residents' dietary habits and appetite changes. The ideal candidate will have a positive and energetic attitude, be at least 18 years old, and possess previous experience leading a hospitality team. Knowledge of care requirements for residents and a food server permit are necessary. The role requires physical capability, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds, as well as assisting residents with mobility and in case of falls. Requirements

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Must have and maintain a food server permit as required by the county.
• Must be able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency.
• Must have a positive and energetic attitude.
• Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
• Must have the ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting people after a fall.
• Must be criminally cleared.
• Be in good health and physically and mentally capable of performing assigned tasks.
• Good physical health shall be verified by a health screening performed by a physician not more than six (6) months prior to or seven (7) days following employment.
• Must test free from pulmonary tuberculosis at time of health screening.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience leading a hospitality team preferred.
• Knowledge of the requirements for providing care and supervision appropriate to the residents.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the dining room looks (and stays) perfect and the service resident receive is impeccable.
• Greeting residents and making them feel welcome.
• Being present in the dining room, mingling, and entertaining.
• Fostering an environment where residents can connect.
• Prepping tables for service, salads for the next meal, or rolling silverware.
• Bussing tables and sweeping floors.
• Communicating with supervisors and Wellness when poor dietary habits or unusual changes in appetite are observed, as well as when residents are absent from meals.
