About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Dining Room Manager to ensure an impeccable dining experience for residents. This role involves maintaining the dining room's appearance, providing excellent service, and fostering a welcoming environment where residents can connect. The Dining Room Manager will also be responsible for preparing the dining area for service, ensuring all elements are in place for a successful meal service. Additionally, this role requires keen observation of residents' dietary habits and appetite changes, communicating any concerns to supervisors and the Wellness team. The position is full-time and located at Vitalia Solon in Solon, OH.

Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Knowledge of the requirements for providing care and supervision appropriate to the residents.
  • Must have and maintain a food server permit as required by the county.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency.
  • Must have a positive and energetic attitude.
  • Must be active, requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
  • Must have the ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Must be able to assist people after a fall.
  • Must be criminally cleared.
  • Must be in good health and physically and mentally capable of performing assigned tasks.
  • Good physical health verified by a health screening performed by a physician not more than six (6) months prior to or seven (7) days following employment.
  • Must test free from pulmonary tuberculosis at time of health screening.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience leading a hospitality team preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the dining room looks and stays perfect.
  • Providing impeccable service to residents.
  • Greeting residents and making them feel welcome.
  • Being present in the dining room, mingling, and entertaining.
  • Fostering an environment where residents can connect.
  • Prepping tables for service, salads for the next meal, and rolling silverware.
  • Bussing tables and sweeping floors.
  • Communicating with supervisors and Wellness when poor dietary habits or unusual changes in appetite are observed.
  • Communicating when residents are absent from meals.
