About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Dining Room Manager to ensure the dining room is impeccable and the service residents receive is outstanding. This role involves greeting residents, fostering a welcoming environment, preparing tables and food items, bussing tables, sweeping floors, and communicating with supervisors and Wellness regarding residents' dietary habits and appetite changes. The ideal candidate will be at least eighteen years of age, have previous experience leading a hospitality team, knowledge of resident care requirements, a food server permit, and strong English communication skills. A positive and energetic attitude is essential, along with the physical ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, lift up to 50 pounds, and assist residents with mobility and falls. Candidates must be criminally cleared and in good health, with a recent physical examination verifying fitness for duty.

Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Knowledge of the requirements for providing care and supervision appropriate to the residents.
  • Must have and maintain a food server permit as required by the county.
  • Can read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency.
  • Must have a positive and energetic attitude.
  • Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
  • Must have the ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting people after a fall.
  • Must be criminally cleared.
  • Be in good health and physically and mentally capable of performing assigned tasks.
  • Good physical health shall be verified by a health screening performed by a physician not more than six (6) months prior to or seven (7) days following employment.
  • Must test free from pulmonary tuberculosis at time of health screening.

  • Bussing tables and sweeping floors.
  • Communicating with supervisors and Wellness when poor dietary habits or unusual changes in appetite are observed.
  • Communicating when residents are absent from meals.
