DINING/BAR SUPERVISOR (FULL TIME)
About The Position
The Dining/Bar Supervisor provides first-level supervision of food, beverage, and meal services and oversees production at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. This is a full-time position with days and hours that may vary. The role requires prior food service and supervisory experience. The pay range is $21.00 to $24.00 per hour. Because the work is performed in an educational facility, service needs may decline or cease during winter and summer breaks, potentially resulting in unpaid temporary layoff periods. Depending on business needs, the associate may be required to work year-round, potentially at another location during breaks.
Requirements
- Prior food service experience is required.
- Prior supervisory experience is required.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Ensure high-quality, good-tasting, well-presented food and beverages are served within established time frames.
- Review menus and other production needs to oversee and manage daily functions.
- Monitor staff daily to ensure systems, protocols, and quality assurance tools are used correctly.
- Visit guest service areas to assess satisfaction levels.
- Communicate regularly with staff, both formally and informally.
- Enforce safety standards with employees.
- Ensure sanitation standards are enforced daily and sign off on cleaning procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
