Dining/Bar Supervisor (Full Time)
About The Position
The Dining/Bar Supervisor provides the first level of supervision of food, beverage, and meal services while overseeing production. This is a full-time position at Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. The schedule is in the evening (PM); days and hours may vary based on business needs. The role pays $20.00 to $22.50 per hour. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until the openings are filled. The position oversees daily dining operations and staff, ensuring food and beverages are high quality, well presented, and served within established time frames. The supervisor also monitors guest satisfaction, food safety, and sanitation practices. The employer notes that work may be reduced or temporarily unavailable during educational breaks, when food-service needs decline or cease; depending on business needs, associates may be required to work year-round, potentially at a different location during breaks.
Nice To Haves
- Four years of restaurant management experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Ensure high-quality, good-tasting, well-presented food and beverages are served within established time frames.
- Review menus and other production needs to oversee and manage daily functions.
- Monitor staff daily to ensure systems, protocols, and quality assurance tools are used correctly.
- Visit guest service areas to assess satisfaction levels.
- Communicate regularly with staff, formally and informally.
- Enforce safety standards with employees.
- Ensure sanitation standards are enforced daily and sign off on cleaning procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
