DINING/BAR SUPERVISOR (FULL TIME)
About The Position
The Dining/Bar Supervisor provides the first level of supervision of food, beverage, and meal services while overseeing production. This is a full-time position at Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. The schedule is in the afternoon, with days and hours varying according to business needs; further details are provided during the interview. Pay ranges from $20.00 to $22.50 per hour. The supervisor helps ensure quality food and beverage service, oversees daily production needs, monitors staff performance and compliance with procedures, and assesses guest satisfaction. The role also includes enforcing safety and sanitation standards. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until the openings are filled. Work may be reduced or paused during educational facility breaks, potentially resulting in unpaid temporary layoffs; depending on business needs, year-round work or work at another location during breaks may be required.
Requirements
- Four years of restaurant management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities
- Ensure high-quality, good-tasting, well-presented food and beverages are served within established time frames.
- Review menus and other production needs to oversee and manage daily functions.
- Monitor staff daily to ensure systems, protocols, and quality assurance tools are used correctly.
- Visit guest service areas to assess satisfaction levels.
- Communicate regularly with staff, both formally and informally.
- Enforce safety standards with employees.
- Ensure sanitation standards are enforced daily and sign off on cleaning procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
