About The Position

The Digital Solutions Specialist is a field-based customer implementation and training professional who accelerates adoption and effective use of Ormco’s digital orthodontic products and workflows. After a customer commits to implement a product or solution, the specialist assesses practice readiness, creates a customer-specific implementation plan, delivers product and workflow training, supports initial case submissions and early product use, and addresses adoption barriers. The role is accountable for helping customers become activated, confident, and consistent users; it does not own the commercial sale or primary account relationship. The specialist serves as a regional resource for digital orthodontic products and practice workflows, coordinates issue escalation, and partners with Sales, Clinical Education, Clinical Success, Customer Support, Technical Support, and other stakeholders. The role gathers customer and field feedback, documents implementation activity and outcomes, manages a field schedule across an assigned geography, and travels frequently, including overnight travel. Performance is measured by activation and implementation outcomes rather than direct sales quotas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
  • At least three years of experience in orthodontics, dentistry, medical devices, clinical training, customer implementation, customer success, or a related field.
  • Experience training, coaching, or supporting clinicians and practice teams in a customer-facing environment.
  • Ability to learn and communicate technical, product, and workflow information.
  • Experience managing multiple customer implementations, training engagements, or field-based projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and CRM or customer-management systems.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently throughout an assigned geography, including overnight travel.
  • Strong facilitation, presentation, coaching, and adult-learning skills.

  • Ability to translate technical and clinical concepts into clear, practical workflows.
  • Strong customer orientation and commitment to a consistent implementation experience.
  • Effective project-management and organizational skills, including management of concurrent implementations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify workflow barriers and coordinate solutions.
  • Ability to influence outcomes without direct authority.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a field-based environment and contribute to a coordinated regional and national team.
  • Sound judgment about when issues require clinical, technical, quality, regulatory, or leadership escalation.
  • Ability to use customer and implementation data to prioritize activity and improve outcomes.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in an orthodontic or dental practice.
  • Experience with clear aligner treatment processes, intraoral scanning, digital orthodontic workflows, or related dental technologies.

  • Provide virtual follow-up training and contribute to standardized implementation guides, training resources, checklists, and customer-facing tools.
  • Guide customers through product setup, workflow preparation, readiness for first use, initial case submissions, approvals, and early utilization as appropriate to the product and role boundaries.
  • Monitor progress against implementation milestones, proactively address delays, and coach customers during early implementation.
  • Confirm activation and implementation criteria and coordinate a documented handoff to Clinical Success, Customer Support, or another long-term owner.
  • Provide first-line product and workflow guidance, identify adoption barriers, and coordinate escalation of technical, clinical, quality, or customer-service issues.
  • Track open customer issues and facilitate follow-through until ownership and next steps are clear.
  • Review and report customer complaints through established company and quality-reporting processes.
  • Coordinate implementation activity with Field Representatives while preserving their commercial account ownership; communicate implementation status, risks, milestones, and outcomes to Sales.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Education to ensure training is accurate, approved, consistent, and aligned with curriculum; partner with Clinical Success, Customer Support, and Technical Support as needed.
