Digital Health Subject Matter Expert

We are seeking an experienced and highly knowledgeable Digital Health Subject Matter Expert to support the Department of Veterans Affairs. As a Digital Health Subject Matter Expert, you will provide strategic guidance and technical expertise across a range of digital health initiatives and projects. Your responsibilities will include analyzing user needs, providing expert guidance on information systems architecture, advising on the application of cloud systems and healthcare IT systems, leading the development and implementation of digital health solutions, facilitating training and knowledge sharing sessions, and staying abreast of emerging trends and technologies in digital health.

• Analyze user needs to determine functional requirements, define problems, and develop plans and requirements for complex information systems related to digital health.
• Provide expert guidance on information systems architecture, networking, telecommunications, automation, communications, risk management, electronic analysis, software/hardware, lifecycle management, and software development methodologies.
• Advise on the application of cloud systems and healthcare IT systems in the context of digital health.
• Lead and contribute to the development and implementation of innovative digital health solutions.
• Facilitate training and knowledge sharing sessions, disseminating expertise in digital health technologies and best practices.
• Provide expert input on business processes, modeling, and simulation related to digital health.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, articulating complex technical concepts and solutions in a clear and concise manner.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and regulatory changes in digital health and advise on their potential impact and opportunities.

• Master's Degree in Health Informatics, Information Systems, or a related field
• A minimum of 15 years of professional experience in digital health
• Experience in information systems architecture, networking, telecommunications, automation, communications, risk management/electronic analysis, software/hardware, lifecycle management, software development methodologies, and cloud systems
• Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in healthcare IT systems and digital health technologies
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills
• Experience working with the Department of Veterans Affairs or similar healthcare organizations (preferred)
• Doctorate degree in a relevant field (preferred)
• Recognized as an expert in the field of digital health in the professional community (preferred)
• Proven track record of leading successful digital health initiatives and projects (preferred)
