Dietary Supervisor
About The Position
Lakepoint Villa is seeking a Dietary Supervisor to manage its dining services team. The role oversees staffing, staff education and training, performance evaluations, and the efficient operation of the Dietary department. It is responsible for sanitation, productivity, safety, and quality controls in the kitchen and dining areas, as well as department purchasing, inventory, portion control, menu requirements, and budget requirements. The Dietary Supervisor must uphold the CAPLICO Core Values and Code of Conduct and ensure compliance with Resident Rights and HIPAA policies. Other relevant duties may be assigned by management.
Responsibilities
- Uphold the CAPLICO Core Values and Code of Conduct.
- Ensure compliance with Resident Rights and HIPAA policies.
- Manage the efficient operation of the Dietary department.
- Interview and hire prospective Dietary staff.
- Ensure Dietary positions are scheduled and covered.
- Train new Dietary staff and Caregivers who work in dining rooms.
- Plan, coordinate, and implement special functions.
- Provide ongoing education and training for Dietary staff.
- Monitor adherence to procedures and orient new staff.
- Coach and mentor staff on a daily basis.
- Evaluate staff and complete performance reviews for Dietary staff.
- Manage purchasing, inventory par levels, portion control, menu requirements, and budget requirements while maintaining high quality standards.
- Oversee sanitation, productivity, safety, and quality controls in kitchen and dining areas.
