About The Position

Hamilton Grove Healthcare & Rehabilitation is seeking a Dietary Supervisor to oversee the dietary department during evening hours and help prepare and serve food to facility residents. The supervisor oversees meal preparation and service, ensures dishes are delivered at designated times, and helps maintain sanitary conditions in cooking and dining areas. The goal is to provide excellent food service while following instructions and standards.

The position is part time, with hours from 12:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and a commitment to work every other weekend. The stated base rate is $19.00 per hour. The role is located at 2300 Hamilton Ave, Trenton, New Jersey.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in a management or supervisory position in a kitchen setting.
• Prior dietary experience.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Ability to prepare meals according to instructions.
• Ability to operate cookware, bakeware, and cooking appliances.
• Friendly manner and good communication skills.
• Good physical condition and stamina.

Nice To Haves

• Further experience in customer service.
• Certification in food services.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the dietary department in its entirety.
• Oversee meal preparation.
• Deliver dishes and trays at designated times.
• Take down dining areas and collect plates, glasses, and other items.
• Discard leftovers and take out garbage.
• Clean food stations and wash dishes, cooking vessels, and silverware.
• Stock ingredients and monitor inventory.
• Assist in keeping track of expenses and planning menus.
• Help maintain kitchen equipment and appliances.
