About The Position

Chautauqua Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Dietary Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the Dietary Department. The role supports high-quality meal service, food safety, and customer service for residents and staff. The Dietary Supervisor supervises and develops dietary staff, oversees meal service, helps manage departmental supplies and documentation, and serves as Food Service Director when that person is absent.

This is a full-time position at $19 per hour, working 37.5 hours per week. The schedule is 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., including every other weekend.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of food service work experience.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and team development skills.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service abilities.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and dietary operations.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Adaptable and dependable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Nice To Haves

• Graduate of a food service program.
• At least 6 months of food service supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise dietary staff and assist with training, mentoring, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
• Oversee tray line operations, dining room service, and meal delivery to ensure timely, high-quality service.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, sanitation standards, infection control practices, and facility policies.
• Monitor food, beverage, and equipment temperatures and promptly address variances.
• Assist with inventory management, supply ordering, audits, and departmental documentation.
• Ensure proper food storage, quality control, and safe equipment operation.
• Support orientation and development of newly hired staff members.
• Serve as Food Service Director in their absence and assist with departmental leadership as needed.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and perform additional duties as assigned.
