About The Position

The Dietary Services Director is responsible for managing all activities of the Dietary Department, ensuring high quality food service for patients, guests, and staff. This role includes overseeing food purchasing, staff training, sanitation standards, and budget management, while promoting a positive work environment and hospital culture.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree
• 5 - 8 years of direct experience
• CDM or CFPP is required

Responsibilities

• Manage all activities of the Dietary Department
• Ensure high quality food service for patients, guests, and staff
• Oversee food purchasing, staff training, sanitation standards, and budget management
• Promote a positive work environment and hospital culture
• Ensure a high standard of quality service for patients, guests and staff
• Oversee purchasing, storage, and supply management for the dietary department
• Ensure that department staff are trained in food handling and safety practices
• Maintain the highest standards in sanitary food preparation and storage
• Monitor department budget and ensure efficient use of resources
• Provide leadership to promote a positive environment and high staff performance
• Plan and coordinate dietary operations, including budgeting, food purchasing and staff performance
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
• Ensures compliance with all healthcare food services regulations
