About The Position

The dietary aide is responsible for preparing and distributing food to patients, employees, and the outside community through the patient tray line, cafeteria, and functions. The role also performs tasks that maintain quality service for customers and the highest sanitary conditions in accordance with policies and procedures. The position is per diem and scheduled for 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., including weekends and holidays. Listed schedule days include Friday, Monday, Thursday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and weekends (Saturday and Sunday).

Requirements

Ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

Follow all HACCP standards.
Follow contract services policies and procedures.
Provide excellent customer service.
Attend up to 75% of department meetings.
Follow supervisor and management instructions.
Assist in keeping Press Ganey scores within or above departmental targets and goals.
Comply with established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives.
Attend meetings, conferences, and seminars as required or directed.
Demonstrate the use of Quality Improvement in daily operations.
Comply with health and safety regulations and requirements.
Respect diverse views and approaches, demonstrate the Standards of Respect, and contribute to a professional, tolerant, civil, and accepting environment for employees, patients, and visitors.
Maintain regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
Perform other similar and related duties as required or directed.
