About The Position

Transport Refrigeration Services is seeking a skilled, motivated Diesel Technician to maintain and repair trucks, trailers, refrigeration systems, and APU units. The role supports fleet readiness through preventative maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, tire services, and road service. Technicians also maintain an organized work area and operate relevant shop equipment and vehicles. Reefer unit experience is a plus.

Requirements

• Have a clean, valid driver’s license.
• Possess or obtain a toolbox and required tools.
• Have at least 1 year of shop experience performing DOT annual inspections or brake work, or a tech school certification.

Nice To Haves

• Reefer unit experience.
• ASE certifications in Brakes, Suspension, or PMs; extra hourly pay is offered for these certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on trailers, trucks, refrigeration, and APU units.
• Troubleshoot and repair fuel, electrical, drivetrain, brake, suspension, and cooling systems.
• Replace brakes and service trailer ABS systems.
• Complete FHWA inspections and tire services, including mounting, balancing, and repairs.
• Repair trailer bodies, rear doors, and structural components.
• Clean trailer interiors and exteriors.
• Perform APU service and general road service.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Operate forklifts, hoists, and company or customer vehicles.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
