About The Position

Transport Refrigeration Services is hiring a Fleet Service Truck Technician to maintain and repair its fleet and customer equipment. The role works on trucks, trailers, refrigeration units, and auxiliary power units (APUs), helping keep equipment road-ready and reliable. The position is based at the TRS Cleburne–Joshua, Texas location, with a stated pay range of $30.50–$37.00 per hour. A $2-per-hour differential applies to night shifts, and additional hourly pay is available for ASE certifications in brakes, suspension, and preventive maintenance.

Requirements

• Have a clean, valid driver’s license.
• Possess or obtain a toolbox and the required tools.
• Have at least one year of shop experience performing DOT annual inspections or brake work, or have a tech school certification.

Nice To Haves

• Reefer unit experience.
• ASE certifications in brakes, suspension, or preventive maintenance, which qualify for additional hourly pay.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on trailers, trucks, refrigeration units, and APU units.
• Troubleshoot and repair fuel, electrical, drivetrain, brake, suspension, and cooling systems.
• Replace brakes and service trailer ABS systems.
• Complete FHWA inspections and tire services, including mounting, balancing, and repair.
• Repair trailer bodies, rear doors, and structural components.
• Clean trailer interiors and exteriors.
• Service APUs and perform general road service.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Operate forklifts, hoists, and company or customer vehicles.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
