About The Position

Transport Refrigeration Services is seeking a skilled, motivated Fleet Service Truck Technician to help keep its fleet in top condition. The role involves maintaining and repairing trucks, trailers, refrigeration systems, and APU units, including diesel engines and transmission systems. Technicians also perform inspections, tire services, trailer repairs, cleaning, and road service. Requirements

• Have a clean, valid driver’s license.
• Possess or obtain a toolbox and required tools.
• Have at least 1 year of shop experience performing DOT annual inspections or brake work, or have tech school certification.

Nice To Haves

• Reefer unit experience.
• ASE certifications in Brakes, Suspension, or PMs, for which extra hourly pay is offered.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on trailers, trucks, refrigeration, and APU units.
• Troubleshoot and repair fuel, electrical, drivetrain, brake, suspension, and cooling systems.
• Replace brakes and handle trailer ABS systems.
• Complete FHWA inspections and tire services, including mounting, balancing, and repairs.
• Repair trailer bodies, rear doors, and structural components.
• Clean trailer interiors and exteriors.
• Perform APU service and general road service.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Operate forklifts, hoists, and company or customer vehicles.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
