About The Position

Transport Refrigeration Services is hiring an entry-level Diesel & Trailer Technician to join its fleet maintenance and refrigeration service team in Gordonsville, Virginia. The company provides fleet maintenance and refrigeration solutions for the transportation industry, including system installations, maintenance, and repairs. The technician will service trailers and perform inspections, repairs, troubleshooting, welding, and road service work. Occasional travel for training or customer needs may be required.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.
• Must possess or obtain a toolbox and required tools.
• Team player mindset and a professional attitude.
• Ability to travel occasionally for training or customer needs.

Nice To Haves

• Reefer unit experience is a plus.
• ASE certifications in Brakes, Suspension, or PMs qualify for extra pay.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on trailers.
• Conduct DOT/FHWA inspections and meet standard service times.
• Repair and replace tires, brakes, and suspension systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and ABS systems.
• Weld and fabricate using steel and aluminum.
• Handle road service calls and repairs to company vehicles.
• Keep the shop clean, safe, and efficient.
