About The Position

Amerit Fleet Solutions is hiring a Diesel Technician/Mechanic in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing medium- to heavy-duty fleet vehicles, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and helping keep fleet operations reliable. The position pays $35.00–$40.00 per hour based on experience, with weekly pay every Friday. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Benefits begin within 30 days. The work takes place in a mobile and/or shop environment, with possible exposure to dust, diesel fumes, noise, oils, greases, and other mechanical irritants. Essential duties may require lifting heavy objects and accessing tight spaces, as well as bending, stooping, crouching, or crawling. Requirements

At least 2 years of hands-on experience performing diesel vehicle maintenance and repairs.
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to own and maintain the personal tools and toolbox required for the role.
Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
Willingness and ability to meet the physical demands of the position.
Ability to successfully pass a DOT physical if required for the role.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on medium- to heavy-duty fleet vehicles.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
Conduct inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety and compliance standards.
Accurately document repairs and complete work orders.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools and equipment.
Follow safety procedures and company policies.
Collaborate with supervisors and team members to support fleet operations.
