About The Position

As a Diesel Technician on TravelCenters of America’s Truck Service team, you will provide accurate, efficient service to customers by troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy-duty trucks and trailers in a professional and accommodating manner. The role contributes to returning travelers to the road in better condition than they arrived. You will work in a service-focused team environment, develop knowledge of the company’s products and services, assess wear conditions, and recommend repairs in coordination with a TSA or Manager. You will complete repairs within your capabilities and as written, follow Truck Service Standard Services and specialized customer programs, and report potentially unsafe situations. Work may take place indoors or outdoors and may involve exposure to seasonal weather and shop conditions.

Requirements

Good verbal and written communication skills.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
Ability to work in interior and exterior conditions.
Valid driver’s license.
