About The Position

As a Diesel Technician on TravelCenters of America’s Truck Service team, you will provide accurate, efficient customer service by troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy-duty trucks and trailers in a professional and accommodating manner. The role helps return travelers to the road in better condition than when they arrived.

You will work in a service-focused, collaborative environment; maintain knowledge of the products and services offered; assess wear conditions and make recommendations with the TSA or Manager; and complete repairs within your capabilities. You will follow Truck Service Standard Services, specialized customer programs, and safety guidelines, reporting potentially unsafe situations caused by team members or customers.

The role may involve flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and some holidays, and work in both interior and exterior conditions. Team members may encounter outdoor elements, fumes, particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, loud noise, and substances such as dirt, dust, grease, oil, and gas.

Requirements

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and some holidays, in interior and exterior conditions.
• Valid driver’s license.

• Previous experience in a repair or parts shop.
