About The Position

WM is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to join their team. This role involves performing inspections, diagnoses, and repairs on heavy trucks and equipment. The position offers career progression, stability, and a safe work environment. Mechanics will work on diesel and potentially CNG trucks, using modern tools and procedures. The job is based in a repair/maintenance shop at the Lewisville, TX site.

Requirements

• 2 years of relevant work experience
• A valid drivers license, with a clean driving record
• Be over 18 years of age.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.
• Have valid drivers license
• Have own tools to complete task assigned

Responsibilities

• Performs proficient inspection, diagnosis and moderately complex repair of assigned vehicles and equipment
• Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
• Estimates time and material costs on vehicle repairs and new parts.
• Perform your work within our Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs).
• Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns.
• Safety checks on vehicles
• Complete required paperwork, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
• Assisting senior Mechanics in the completion of project work.
• Reviews, completes, or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards and perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
