About The Position

Cox Fleet is seeking individuals interested in a career as a Diesel Technician through its FleeTec Academy program. This paid educational program is designed to train individuals for full-time Diesel & Trailer Technician roles, offering free education, tools, and a pathway to a stable career without the burden of traditional technical school debt. The program includes four weeks of intensive paid classroom training at the Academy Campus, with travel, accommodation, and meal stipends provided. Upon completion, participants receive hands-on training with a Lead Technician and are offered a full-time Mobile Diesel Mechanic position. The role involves performing preventative maintenance and general repairs at customer locations using a state-of-the-art vehicle. The company emphasizes a clear pay progression and opportunities for continued skill development through periodic classroom study.

Requirements

  • Desire to start a career as a Diesel & Trailer Technician and become a Mobile Mechanic.
  • Willingness and ability to study hard.
  • Dedication to being away from home for four (4) weeks for training.
  • Maturity to focus on the task at hand.
  • Technical aptitude and a passion for fixing vehicles.
  • Ability to operate an iPad.
  • Must be 21 years old to drive a company truck.
  • Background checks, driving records checks, pre-employment drug testing, and physical examinations will be conducted.

Nice To Haves

  • A High-School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education is preferred, but not required.
  • Separated from Active Military Duty.

Responsibilities

  • Undergo four (4) weeks of full-time schooling at the FleeTec Academy Campus.
  • Participate in hands-on training with a Lead Technician.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and general repairs at customer locations as a Mobile Diesel Mechanic.
  • Operate a state-of-the-art vehicle equipped for repairs.
