About The Position
This is a travel position for a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist in Cumming, Georgia. The assignment is for 13 weeks, starting on 08/31/2026, with guaranteed 40 hours per week. The role involves working in a hospital-based diagnostic imaging department that serves both inpatient and outpatient exams, including fluoroscopy and operating room cases. The technologist will work a 4-day, 10-hour shift schedule.
Requirements
- ARRT certification (RT)
- AHA BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Diagnostic Radiology
- Cerner experience
- Ability to work in a 24-hour department with inpatient and outpatient exams, including OR and fluoroscopy
- Must work 2 major holidays and 1 minor holiday per schedule
Responsibilities
- Perform a broad range of radiographic procedures, including fluoroscopy and C-arm imaging, in a high-volume 24-hour department
- Position patients, select appropriate technical factors, and ensure high-quality images while applying ALARA principles
- Operate radiology equipment and digital imaging systems; document procedures in the Cerner system
- Support OR and fluoroscopic procedures and assist with interventional imaging as required
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and nursing staff to coordinate patient care and imaging needs
- Maintain room readiness, manage supplies, and adhere to safety, infection control, and quality standards
