About The Position

This is a travel, temporary assignment for a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist in San Luis Obispo, California. The assignment begins on 08/31/2026 and lasts for 13 weeks. The selected technologist will work day shifts, with 12-hour shifts totaling 36 hours per week, within a healthcare imaging department. The role is represented by SEIU.

Requirements

Active radiologic technologist license as required by the assignment

Responsibilities

Operate x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated portions of the body as ordered by physicians.
Position and instruct patients prior to examination; adjust the x-ray equipment and determine appropriate voltage (kVp), current (mA), and exposure time for each radiograph.
Verify exam requirements, ensure patient safety, apply shielding as needed, and follow radiation safety protocols.
Review images for technical quality and communicate with radiologists or physicians regarding any adjustments.
Maintain accurate imaging records, document exam details, and ensure equipment cleanliness and adherence to department policies.
