About the position
This remote position is a crucial part of our global SRE team, responsible for developing and implementing robust, scalable, and efficient systems that align with our client’s business goals and SRE principles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DevOps methodologies and a demonstrated ability to work effectively with remote teams. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing automated systems and infrastructure, collaborating with team members to design and implement SRE/DevOps solutions, troubleshooting system issues, and contributing to the development and improvement of SRE and DevOps standards. Proficiency in Azure platforms, containerization technologies, monitoring tools, and CI/CD tools is required.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement automated systems and infrastructure for continuous integration, continuous deployment, monitoring, and site reliability.
- Collaborate with US Based and other GDC team members to design, build, and implement SRE/DevOps solutions that meet business requirements and goals.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues related to system performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Work closely with architects and engineers to incorporate efficient and effective solutions into the overall architecture and design.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of SRE and DevOps standards, guidelines, and procedures.
- Document and maintain system configurations, procedures, and changes.
- Participate in the on-call rotation, providing off-hours support as needed.
- Participate in agile development processes and project management practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a DevOps Developer, SRE Engineer, or a similar role in a technical environment
- Deep understanding of SRE principles and practices, with extensive experience in DevOps methodologies
- Proficiency in using Azure platforms, containerization technologies (like Docker, Kubernetes), monitoring tools (like Prometheus, Grafana), and CI/CD tools
- Strong communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with remote teams
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities and a detail-oriented mindset
- Experience working in an agile development environment and familiarity with related tools and practices
- Technical Expertise in Terraform: Experience in writing and managing infrastructure as code using Terraform. Understanding of Terraform principles, modules, state management, and best practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Azure platforms
