About The Position

ViaQuest Psychiatric & Behavioral Solutions provides individualized care to children, adolescents, adults, older adults, people with developmental disabilities, and people who have experienced extreme trauma. The Developmental Disabilities Behavioral Support Specialist supports clients through therapeutic behavioral services, individualized service planning, linkage and interventions, daily living skills restoration, and crisis prevention. The role consults with a licensed clinician and may serve individuals or groups. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, with some flexibility, and pays $18.20–$20.90 per hour. Travel throughout the assigned service area is required.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• A bachelor's or master's degree in a related field, a high school diploma, or three or more years of relevant field experience.
• Related experience or training with mental or behavioral health conditions.
• Valid driver's license, car insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to travel throughout the assigned service area.

Responsibilities

• Provide Therapeutic Behavioral Services to clients in consultation with a licensed clinician to address individual needs.
• Develop service plans for individualized supports or coordinate healthcare, behavioral health, and non-healthcare services, including treatment plans.
• Provide linkage, interventions, treatment options, restoration of daily living skills, and crisis prevention services.
• Provide services to individual clients or groups of clients.
• Promote positive and cooperative relationships with outside contacts.
